What data we collect

This site requires no registration and sets no first-party cookies. We only collect personal data when you send it through the contact form: name, email, phone (optional), institution (optional), area of interest, tentative dates and the message you write.

What we use it for

Solely to answer your request and coordinate the activity you ask for: an educational visit, a research permit, volunteering, a nursery plant order, a partnership or a press inquiry. We do not use it for newsletters or advertising, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Who processes it

The form is sent through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a service that receives the data and forwards it by email to the Foundation. FormSubmit acts as a processor and its servers may be outside Chile. The received email is kept in the Foundation's institutional account for as long as your request is being handled and, as a backup, for up to two years.

The site is served through the Cloudflare network, which may log IP addresses transiently for security purposes. The zoning map loads satellite imagery from Esri servers, which receive your IP address when tiles load. The institutional video is embedded from YouTube in its no-cookie mode, which only records data if you choose to play it. We use no analytics or advertising trackers.

Your rights

Under Chile's Law No. 19,628 on the protection of private life and Law No. 21,719 that replaces it, you may request access to, rectification or deletion of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to vitia@elajial.cl. We will reply within the statutory deadlines.

Changes to this policy

If the way we collect or process data changes, we will update this page and state the effective date.
